The Seven Point Nine Residential Complex is situated in a location that borders residential fabric on one side and the gardens of the Dinkan area in Shiraz on the other. The elongated trapezoidal shape of the site is refined in plan by carving out large, triangular terraces from the building mass. In section, the project becomes dynamic as a result of plan shifts across floors and the elevation of balconies. These disruptions in section also penetrate the building’s envelope.

Given the tension between the need to control sunlight and the desire to maximize views of the surrounding landscape, the project responds in two ways: on one hand, it retreats inward along its boundary through deep balconies; on the other hand, it attempts to reconcile this duality by attaching a grid that extends the internal divisions outward.
